Are you ready to come home to yourself?

I believe that when we tune into ourselves, we find that our body knows exactly what we are needing most. The ability to pause, create space between thoughts, acknowledge and be with emotion allows us to reconnect with our internal guidance system and inner sanctuary.  When we go where so many of us find most terrifying-inward- we find that not only is our mind not so scary, but it is the source of the greatest peace. This inner peace then extends into outer peace- stability in our relationships, deliberateness in our actions, and love for ourselves. Instead of numbing with behaviors that take us further away from our authenticity and goals, we can make choices that are better aligned with our values and true desires. When we demonstrate to ourselves that we can tolerate and even choose to be in silence, our inner self thanks us and rewards us with a sweetness that makes life more easeful. We develop a sense of confidence, self-trust, wisdom, and a deep love for life.

I am passionate about creating spaces where individuals of all ages and identities find a sense of safety, self-worth, connectedness, and clarity in times of uncertainty and unease. I am a people person, and my interests, experiences, and strengths have led me to my passion of serving others through psychotherapy, coaching, and somatic practices.  My work is informed by a belief in the unwavering potential of all individuals for wholeness and actualization. I believe that all humans have an innate propensity to heal themselves, and my role as a therapist is to help identify and remove the obstacles that are in the way of one's path toward being our most authentic, liberated, and integrated selves.

I come from a long lineage of mental and physical health practitioners, and I have been exposed to the ideas and ethos of this field from a very early age, as well as philosophy and Eastern and Western spirituality.  As a dual citizen of Germany and the U.S., I spent part of my childhood in Europe and have an extended family around the globe. I have a love for travel and immersion in different cultures, and I find it incredibly useful to explore the cultural contexts that shape the individuals I work with in my practice.  I resonate with the belief that health cannot be measured by one’s level of adjustment to a sick society. In this sense, I aim to explore socio-cultural factors that may be manifesting as symptoms causing distress in my clients' lives. I have found that one's reactions to traumas can be stored and expressed in various ways and that symptoms are often signs of unresolved wounds. In many cases, I see depression and anxiety as grievances that a need is not being acknowledged or met and an indicator that some aspect of one's life demands change. My role as a clinician is to collaborate with my clients in the process of listening, discovery, embodiment, and real-time problem-solving to bring these disparities and needs to conscious awareness and to help guide us through the process of understanding, re-integrating, and ultimately healing.

My style is collaborative and flexible, and my therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic theory, with a strong consideration of attachment patterns, emotional literacy and expression, cultural influences, and relationship to others and self. I draw from evidence-based methods of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) while integrating concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness-based practices.

Whether you are seeking support for distressing symptoms, navigating overwhelming life transitions, concerned about dysfunctional habits or relationship patterns, or addressing feelings of demoralization or burnout, my passion and goal is to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward.

I look forward to walking alongside you as we explore what growth and healing can look like for you.Upon earning my PsyD in 2024, I supervision. I also teach meditation twice weekly on Zoom and lead retreats through Mindful Heart Programs and Yoga Soup, incorporating mindfulness practices inspired by teachers like Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield, Kristin Neff, and my mother, Radhule Weininger.
